Robby Gemert started his playing career in the Netherlands at age 12 with Sparta Rotterdam youth development program from 1964- 1969.
1970- 1975 Semi professional in the Ontario National Soccer League (NSL).
1976- 1980 Played in the North American Soccer League (NASL) along side one the greatest players in history, "Eusebio" and winning the 1976 NASL championship with Toronto Metros Croatia.
1981- Played in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) with Buffalo Stallions.
1982- Robby returned to the NSL for six more years and finally decided to call it quits at age 37 and holds the record of "NSL'S Most Champion" with six championships which still stands today.
Rob as he's known played 19 International club and 6 Concacaf matches.
Rob started coaching during the NASL off season in 1976 and eventually spend the greater portion of his life doing what he has the most passion for, and that is teaching soccer.

TC ll (EUFA B) KNVB Diploma
1995 TC lll Coaching apprenticeship with Amateur club DHC "A" Juniors in Delft.
9 months TCll Coaching apprenticeship with Sparta ll (required)
9 months as guest coach at Sparta ll ( invited upon request)
9 months as guest coach at Feyenoord ll ( invited upon request)
